Club Night April–Concourse and Quiz
Success at last we actually had some entries in last night’s concourse, my thanks to the members who brought in entries for this competition.
After last years “no show” I think we all thought that it had come to its final conclusion and died as a club competition , but from the ashes rose eight good entries, three Scale, three Sport, and two Club Project “Jitterbugs”(there are more not finished of both Jitterbug and Asto Hog).

The Concourse (concours d’elegance) event is open to all and covers all categories of model construction including modified ARTF, we shall have a special entry for the club projects. The field was alive with activity as I drove in at 9A.M. Some competitors had already arrived and models were beginning to appear from cars even as the final crowd barriers were put up. Winter flying
A lot of fun can be had despite the conditions prevailing this time of the year.
The little-reported RMAC ‘first’ earlier in the year of a glider aerotow from the snow,
utilised a much – modified Boomerang trainer , towing a Multiplex EasyGlider.
Andy Harrold fashioned skis from the arms of a collapsible garden chair, and these worked well.
The homemade skis attach to the normal undercarriage and are held in the correct position for landing… Continue reading
