New Pilot Open Day – Precision Aerobatics

Message from the Bury Club

I am writing to find out if you have any pilots who would be interested in finding out about precision aerobatics.
The Great Britain Radio Control Aerobatic Association (GBRCAA) is delegated by the BMFA to organise precision aerobatics in GB. In order to generate more interest in this aspect of the sport, they support a New Pilot Open Day at which experienced aerobatic pilots will take rank newcomers to the sport under their wing. RMAC at Ramsey Church Fete

Once again we were happy to attend Ramsey Church Fete with the chuck glider game and successfully raised £66 for church funds. Thanks to the members who attended we were able to put on a decent static show and even ran a Jet up, much to the delight of those present.

RAF Marham’s disbanded XIII Squadron

For those who missed it .

A Tornado squadron based at RAF Marham in Norfolk had a final fly-past before being grounded due to government cuts.

During the morning the jets passed over their former bases at RAF Honington and Wyton.

The squadron will be officially disbanded on 1 June 2011.

HRH The Duke of Gloucester visit to Warboys

The recent visit by HRH The Duke of Gloucester after Warboys was named Cambridgeshire Village of the Year three times in the past 10 years at the national Calor Village of the Year competition, resulted in John Carpenter being asked to display his Lancaster in the parish church under the commemorative stained glass window to the Pathfinders. Craig Cundey has Just started Flying lessons at Connington and has sent in a few  photos also work on the renovation of a  Spitfire down in Devon he has been helping with. see photo`s.

Ramsey Fete 5th June 2010

The club was invited once again to attend Ramsey Church Fete which we were happy to accept, the afternoon although poorly attended when measured by previous years  ended in us raising £60 to church funds from the chuck glider game. It is also worth mentioning the memory of John Stokes which more than once came about in conversation.
